Tutorial: Cloud Manicure

Hi everyone! Welcome to my nail art blog!

Today we are going to learn how to do this cute cloud manicure that I created for the #clairestelle8july challenge. It's going to be super fun!

Here are all of the products you'll be using for your manicure today:

  • Seche Vite Base Coate
  • Sally Hansen Breeze Blue
  • Sally Hansen White Out
  • Salon Perfect Cosmic Dust
  • Seche Vite Top Coat

First, start with a base coat to protect your nails. I'm using Seche Vite Base Coat.

Next, apply light blue nail polish for your base color. This will be your sky. I'm using Sally Hansen Breeze Blue.

Make sure to apply a quick dry top coat over your blue base color before starting on the clouds. That way, if you mess up, you have a better chance of fixing it with non-acetone remover than if you did not apply a top coat first. Non-acetone remover is such a life-saver!

To apply the clouds, use a dotting tool or something comparable. My dotting tools haven't come in the mail yet (I've been waiting for a month, seriously... thanks a lot Amazon), so I'm using a bobby pin head. Use the dotting tool or bobby pin to make tiny dots with white polish in the shape of a cloud. After you have the cloud's outline, fill it in with white polish, still using the bobby pin. Repeat this step until you have the desired number of clouds on each nail.

After waiting to make sure that your clouds are completely dry (you don't want them to smear!), apply your holographic top coat (Salon Perfect Cosmic Dust) and then your quick-dry top coat (Seche Vite).

And wallah! You have a beautiful cloud manicure! Congratulations!

Do you think you'll try this? Sounds super easy, right? I know you can do it!!
