Tutorial: 4th of July Nails!

Hi guys! Welcome back to my blog!

This tutorial is for my new 4th of July nails. I hope you enjoy it!

Here are all of the products you'll be using for your manicure:
  • Sinful Colors Base Coat
  • SuperChic Lacquer Marvel Liquid Macro Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen White Out
  • Essie Dressed to Kilt (red)
  • Essie Style Cartel (blue)
  • Julep Jet (black)
  • Salon Perfect Cosmic Dust
  • Liquid Latex (I got mine from Amazon)
  • Bundle Monster Stamping Plate BM-S211
  • Bundle Monster Clear Stamper and Scraper

First, start with a base coat; I'm using one by Sinful Colors. Then, put on a coat of your base color, which is white; I'm using Sally Hansen White Out.

While waiting for your base color to dry, apply liquid latex around your cuticles to protect your skin from the messy, messy smooshy manicure that you're about to do!

After letting your base color and the liquid latex dry, prepare for the smooshy part of this manicure by opening your white, blue, and red polishes and getting out your stamper.

Apply drops of your polish colors to the head of the stamper in a random pattern.

(Sorry about the unfocused image, my camera sucks sometimes!)

Smoosh the stamper down on your nail. If you don't like the design, squish it around until you like what you see. Remove the liquid latex and clean off the skin around your nails.

Next, you are going to stamp over your smooshy manicure, so apply a quick-dry top coat and let that dry for at least 10 minutes. After that, prepare to stamp by getting together your black polish, stamper, scraper, and stamping plate.

Additionally, put some tape (doesn't matter what kind) on the table so that you can easily clean off your stamper when needed.

To begin stamping, apply black polish to the stamping plate on the image that you want to stamp onto your nails. Scrape the polish across the stamping plate with your scraper, multiple times if necessary.

Roll the stamper head across the stamping plate to pick up the image.

Stamp the image onto your nails, using the clear stamper as a guide for placement.

Apply your holo top coat (optional, but I love holo, so yes please!) and your quick-dry top coat, and you're done!

Congrats, you have a fabulous 4th of July manicure!
